Job Summary:

The Mechanic is responsible for working as a team member under the direct supervision of the Shop Manager. Responsible for completing mechanical duties in an efficient manner, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship.

10. Must possess a mechanical aptitude, Diesel/Gas Engine, and have 2 years prior experience working on outdoor power equipment, heavy machines, cargo/flatbed trailers, and vehicle maintenance and repair.
11. Must have knowledge of 2 cycle, and electrical components on small engine equipment operation.
12. Must be able to diagnose & troubleshoot HVAC, fuel, brake, ignition & electrical systems.
13. Bilingual a plus. (Spanish)
14. Welding experience a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Attend training and safety meetings and apply the subject matter to day to day task.
2. Follow all direction given Leadership Team Management.

5. Identify, correct or report work hazards on job sites.
6. Operate and perform inspection and preventative maintenance on gas powered equipment used for landscape.
7. Executes lock out / tag out procedures on small equipment and earth moving equipment.
8. Communicate and coordinate work with departments.
9. Inspect equipment to determine service & repair needs.
10. Perform complete repair and overhaul functions, including routine maintenance services for small tools (electric & gas), Honda, Stihl, Kawasaki and Briggs & Stratton.
11. Maintain and execute service schedules for all company equipment such as skid steers, ride on trenchers, and mini excavators.  
12. Test and operate equipment post-repair to verify proper function and ensure equipment does not return “Problem Not Fixed”.
13. Performing maintenance and repairs on both trucks, trailers and facility.
14. Maintain vehicle maintenance reports for all vehicles and insure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times.
15. Complete preventative maintenance, oil changes, and lubricate equipment.
16. Perform minor preventive maintenance on facility; A/C filter, lights etc.
17. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
18. Perform emergency road repairs for vehicles and equipment.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Identify plant and tree types and specifications.

• Lead and direct crew member activities and work sequencing.
• Provide backup to Laborers and Leadman.

The Maintenance Account Manager is the primary customer point of contact for contracted accounts within the Maintenance Division. This position clearly communicates contract specifications to client and works in conjunction with production to perform services in a profitable manner. The Maintenance Account Manager is responsible for follow-up and follow-through to maintain a positive customer relations, to ensure client satisfaction and contract retention. This position will suggest and sell extra landscape sales, outside of in-contract sales to meet the needs of the property, increase customer satisfaction and gain additional revenue for the company.

• Sell enhancement services to Clients (some client sales meetings require appointment times after 5 p.m.)
• Maintain monthly budgets and report results to management.

• Layout and install, mainline, lateral line, irrigation wire, sprinkler heads, drip hose, fittings, adjust nozzles and spray patterns on different types of sprinkler heads.
• Install double check valve, isolation valve, wye strainer, master valve, per plan by local and state ordinance.
• Red-line as-built on irrigation plans.
• Train and assist Leadman/Labor in irrigation methods and tasks.
• Lead and direct crew member activities and work sequencing.
• Provide backup to Laborers and Leadman.
• Manage budgeted man hours per job.
• Communicate equipment, labor, material requests, and follow direction given by Irrigation Manager.
